Wuthering Waves 1.2 drip marketing is difficult to predict

While many were expecting the Wuthering Waves version 1.2 drip marketing to arrive on June 23, 2024, that did not turn out to be the case. Based on past precedence, fans were hoping the upcoming characters would be revealed five to six days ahead of version 1.1's release on June 28, 2024. However, it seems Kuro Games may be on a different schedule for the title.

Wuthering Waves 1.2 drip marketing unpredictable due to shortened version 1.0 patch

Kuro Games previously revealed Jinhsi and Changli for Wuthering Waves version 1.1 via drip marketing on May 17, 2024, at 10:05 am, and May 18, 2024, at 9:30 pm, respectively. Many were expecting the version 1.2 drip marketing to follow the same schedule, with new characters being revealed on June 22 and 23. However, that didn't turn out to be the case, leaving fans confused.

@Razor_Language took to X to inquire if the 1.2 drip marketing would be arriving on June 24 after waiting for it on the prior day. Whereas, @arth_Z3R0 commented on an official post asking the developers to release it promptly.

Another X user @Haruvaughnnn expressed disappointment regarding the inconsistency of drip marketing for v1.2, suggesting it should have arrived by now since 1.1 will go live in four days.

While Kuro Games has yet to comment on this, which makes sense since the precedence of just one update isn't enough to establish a fixed schedule, the reason for the delay in drip marketing could be because of version 1.0's shortened duration. As such, speculating on a new date is rather complicated.

The version 1.1 update was originally expected to go live on July 3, 2024, but the developers ended Wuthering Waves 1.0 early, changing it to June 28. However, if they didn't do that, then the likely dates for Wuthering Waves 1.2 drip marketing would have been June 28 and 29, 2024, which could still hold true.

That said, it may go against the common practice of revealing drip marketing before an imminent version release, followed by several mainstream gacha games.

It is recommended that fans take any speculated dates with a grain of salt as the game is new to the market and has not set a fixed update cycle yet.
