Wuthering Waves 1.2 leaks overview: Banners, Waveplate storage, and everything new

There have been a series of leaks recently that share details on the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.2 update. This includes all the Character Convene Events and the Quality of Life changes, such as the new Waveplate (stamina) storage system. Additionally, it is speculated that the developers will bring some exciting limited-time events in version 1.2.

Wuthering Waves 1.2 leaks hint at a new Waveplate system, banners, events, and more

Here is the expected character banner order and featured 4-star Resonators in version 1.2, as per leaks shared by @PalitoGodd on X:

Phase I

• Xiangli Yao (5-star Electro)
• Aalto (4-star Aero)
• Danjin (4-star Havoc)
• Yuanwu (4-star Electro)

Phase II

• Zhezhi (5-star Glacio)
• Baizhi (4-star Glacio)
• Chixia (4-star Fusion)
• Sanhua (4-star Glacio)

Xiangli Yao is expected to debut in the first phase and Zhezhi in the second. The beta leaks suggest that the former is an Electro Resonator and uses a Gauntlet, while the latter is a Glacio Resonator that uses a Rectifier.

New Companion Quest

Free 5-star unit

A recent leak from Uncle Birdie also suggests that Xiangli Yao might be given away to all the players for free. @hxg_diluc on X vouches for the info so it can be considered fairly reliable.

Waveplate storage system

Kuro Games has already confirmed that they are working on a new Waveplate storage system. Luckily, it appears that the new feature will be added in version 1.2. Leaks via encore.moe, suggest that when the original Waveplate is capped, one Waveplate point every 12 minutes will be transferred to a new storage system. The maximum capacity of the additional storage is currently unknown.

New locations

@stormywaves_net recently shared several images of the new locations in the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.2 update. While the leaked images might hint at a new map, it is unclear if there will really be a new region in the upcoming patch since the satellite view of the map in the ongoing beta supposedly doesn't show any map expansion. Therefore, it is likely that these new locations are domains.

Daily login rewards

According to @Wuthering_Wives, Wuthering Waves 1.2 will likely have a seven-day login event with Zhezhi in the background of the event image. Needless to say, Rovers must log in to the game for seven days to obtain all the rewards. It is speculated that the rewards will be the same as the login event in Wuthering Waves 1.1, so one can expect five Lustrous Tides and Radiant Tides each.

Festival event

The beta leaks shared by @PalitoGodd on X hint at a potential Moonchase festival event in Wuthering Waves 1.2. It is supposedly a traditional festival in Jinzhou, where people invite their family and friends to watch the moon together and wish for a better life.

It is likely that players will meet other playable Resonators during the event. Abby is also expected to appear in one of the events in the Wuthering Waves 1.2 update.

New Phantom skin for Dreamless

Leaks from multiple sources, such as @PalitoGodd and @Wuthering_Wives on X hint at a new Phantom skin for Dreamless. Unlike her original design, the rumored skin is mostly white with some red in the wings and head.
