Wuthering Waves 1.3: New features and Quality-of-Life changes
Controller support for mobile devices
After the launch of the 1.3 update, players will be able to use controllers on mobile devices while playing Wuthering Waves. This will allow for smoother gameplay and better combat control for many players who were not satisfied with the touch controls of the game.
Better Fast-Travel system
After the Wuthering Waves 1.3 update goes live, the new system will mark the Teleport Waypoint nearest to your tracked objective, quest, enemy, or resource, and automatically teleport you to it. It will also auto-track your objective, saving you time and effort.
New Resource Tracking feature
From Wuthering Waves version 1.3 onwards, players will be able to track the resources required to ascend their Resonators in the game itself. These areas will be marked as "Resource-Rich Areas", and players can easily track and collect their desired amount. Once you have collected all the resources in a given location, the next "Resource-Rich Area" will be automatically marked on the map.
Map Panel
A new Map Panel feature will be introduced in the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.3 update, where players can switch between different areas on the map, allowing for swifter transitions between them.
Summary feature
Players who want to skip the story dialogue but do not wish to miss out on the important details of the story can breathe a sigh of relief. After the Wuthering Waves 1.3 update is out, whenever you skip a dialogue, you will be given a summary of the same with the key points mentioned.
Lore Encyclopedia
A new Lore Encyclopedia will be added in the new Wuthering Waves 1.3 update, which will allow players to revisit and look at the information on certain aspects of the story, or Solaris-3 in general.
Event Unlock Hint feature
Players will now be able to check the criteria required to unlock any locked event in the game with the new Unlock Hint feature. You just need to click the "?" icon on the locked event, and it will show you what needs to be done to unlock it.
Discarded Echo feature and Data Merger optimization
You will now be able to mark unwanted Echoes as "Discarded", which can then be easily found using the new enhanced filters while accessing the Data Merge section in the Data Bank. This feature will be available for use alongside the "Locked" feature for Echoes.
Apart from that, you will also be able to select up to 100 Echoes to put in the Data Merger.
UI optimizations
Some of the UI features of the game have been further optimized for a better experience. For example, the highlight effect that shows the resources that are going to be consumed has been redone to make it easier to recognize the resources that have been selected.
