Wuthering Waves 1.3 early patch notes

The Wuthering Waves 1.3 update is expected to be released around September 28, 2024, and it has a lot of things to look forward to. While there is no livestream to provide a sneak peek into the future patch, Kuro Games has announced most of the upcoming content via an official blog. Rovers can expect to see new Resonators, maps, enemies, and more exciting additions in this major update.

Wuthering Waves 1.3 early patch notes: New area, characters, boss, and more

New area - Black Shores

New stories will unfold beyond the borders of Jinzhou as Rover travels to a chaotic land called the Black Shores in the Wuthering Waves 1.3 update. This new area is an archipelago, which was sealed away from the world by thick fog. This phenomenon has prevented the mysteries and turmoil from escaping.

The story quest might show the person responsible for lifting the enchanted veil and bringing Black Shore back on the map. Regardless, players will get a new region to explore in the next update.

Brand-new Resonators - Youhu and Shorekeeper

Most Gacha games try to push new characters with every update. Likewise, Kuro Games has set up Youhu and Shorekeeper to debut in Wuthering Waves 1.3 via a drip marketing campaign. The former is a 4-star healer who has a quick time event interaction integrated into her Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation.

In contrast, Shorekeeper will be the featured 5-star character in version 1.3 who is expected to be a Rectifier user from the Spectro element. Her kit is also designed to heal allies and boost their combat potential, according to the closed beta leaks.

New boss and special enemy

Fallacy of No Return will appear as a new boss and Cost 4 Echo in Wuthering Waves 1.3. This Tacet Discord was created by the Tethys System and has the ability to traverse between reality and the digital world.

Aside from the new boss, the patch will also introduce a new Hedgepuff Special Enemy. Players should be able to unlock the creature after completing the collection quests in the Black Shores.

Additionally, Inferno Rider Tactical Hologram will be added to the game so Rovers can indulge in a thrilling battle.

Fresh gameplay elements

Kuro Games has officially revealed in their blog that Portal puzzles will be added to the game in version 1.3. This will promote a fun experience as one can traverse between different regions throughout the solving process. As of this writing, there is limited information available about how the mechanic will work.

Lastly, the "Small Wooly, Big Adventures" companion mission will be added in Wuthering Waves 1.3. The story will be associated with Encore, one of the existing 5-star units from the Standard banner that loosely resembles Klee from Genshin Impact. Players can expect to learn more about her background and personality during her companion quest.
