Wuthering Waves 1.4 update features: New gameplay, QoL updates, and more

Kuro Games has revealed a set of new features that will be implemented to the title with the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.4 update. Alongside new gameplay elements that will be introduced in the upcoming patch, the developers have also showcased some QoL (quality-of-life) changes as well.

This article will go over everything that was showcased in the Developer's Message blog post for the Wuthering Waves 1.4 update.

Gameplay elements and Events

Dream Link

The Dream Link will be a new gameplay feature that will be introduced in the Main event of patch 1.4. This ability will allow you to increase your combat prowess, where meeting certain requirements will let your team work together and release a devastating attack on your opponents.

Overdrive Combat: Illusive Sprint

The main event of Version 1.4 will allow you to enter the Illusive Sprint state once you pick up an item called White Cat's Blessing. This will increase your active resonator's moving speed.

The new 4-star resonator, Lumi in Wuthering Waves will also feature a similar mechanic, where she will use a dash instead of dodging to avoid damage.

The aforementioned features will be a part of the main event of version 1.4, and once it concludes, the event will be added permanently to the title, retaining all the mechanics.

New Feature: Weapon Skins

Wuthering Waves 1.4 patch will also introduce new skins for weapons to the game. Some of them can be obtained for free.

• Sommonoire Anchor: This can be obtained from the main event of the patch. This will only be available for the Sword Weapon type.
• Formless: This can be obtained by completing patch 1.4's Illusive Realm and will turn your weapons invisible. Available for all the weapon types in the game.

Quality of Life updates

Double Rewards

One of the key QoL updates for Wuthering Waves version 1.4 will let you use double waveplates upon completing Forgery, Simulation, or Tacet Suppression challenges.

Fast Travel

Version 1.4 will see a feature where you can directly teleport to Tacet Fields (rewards you with Echoes) and Overworld bosses.

Updates to the Echo System

The Wuthering Waves 1.4 patch will also introduce several new features to the echo system. You will be able to auto-upgrade your echo per level (5/10/15/20/25), and save precious resources.

Echoes will also show their sonata effect and base stats when you absorb them from the open world.

Interface Optimization

Your Waveplates and Reserve Waveplate Crystals will also be shown in a pop-up each time you log into the game.

Tower of Adversity

After the Wuthering Waves 1.4 update, you will be able to directly change your team lineup without needing to exit the Tower of Adversity. This will make the gameplay experience a lot smoother.

All of these updates will make their way to the game with the release of Wuthering Waves version 1.4. While Kuro Games has other QoL and optimization updates planned for version 1.4, the developers have not shared any information regarding these, as of this writing.
