Wuthering Waves 1.4 update preview: Characters and weapons banners, events, and new content

Kuro Games has revealed all the content coming with the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.4 update. The new version will go live on November 14, 2024 (UTC+8), and will feature two new playable characters, story missions, events, weapons, and a Phantom Echo. Additionally, this update will feature double banners for the first time in the game, meaning two 5-star character banners will be available simultaneously.

Wuthering Waves 1.4 preview: Banners, events, and more

New characters - Camellya and Lumi

Camellya and Lumi will finally debut in version 1.4. The former is a 5-star unit and the latter a 4-star one. Moreover, Kuro Games has confirmed that Camellya's Resonance Attribute is Havoc and she uses a Sword, while Lumi is an Electro Resonator.

New weapons - Red Spring and Somnoire Anchor

The new version will also release two new Swords called Red Spring and Somnoire Anchor. The former is a 5-star weapon and Camellya's signature one. Meanwhile, Somnoire Anchor is a 4-star weapon and will be available as a reward in the main event of the update, Somnium Labyrinth.

Phase II

Camellya will be in the first phase of version 1.4 and her banner will be available as soon as the new update is released on November 14, 2024 server time. Unfortunately, her banner duration is currently unknown. Meanwhile, Lumi will debut in the second phase alongside Yinlin and Xiangli Yao's rerun banner.

Listed below are the weapons that will be featured on the weapon banners:

Phase I - November 14, 2024

Phase II

• Stringmaster (5-star Rectifier)
• Verity's Handle (5-star Gauntlets)

Red Spring is Camellya's signature and will be available during the first half of the update. Meanwhile, Yinlin's Stringmaster and Xiangli Yao's Verity's Handle will be on the phase two banners for a limited period.

Somnium Labyrinth Event

Somnium Labyrinth is the main event of version 1.4. During the event, you will meet several characters, take part in multiple challenges, and investigate the anomaly created due to a train derailing from the dreamscape to reality. Upon completing the event, you can obtain several in-game rewards, including a new 4-star weapon called the Somnoire Anchor.

The Somnium Labyrinth event will be permanently available in the game even after Wuthering Waves 1.4 concludes so players don't have to worry about missing the event rewards.

Depths of Illusive Realm Rerun

The Depths of Illusive Realm will return in the new update. Rovers can participate in it to get a ton of exciting new rewards, including Astrites, Phantom Echo, and Formless series Weapon Projections.

Version 1.4 will introduce several new cosmetics for the weapons. This feature will allow players to change the appearance of their weapons. The skins will be available as rewards in the Depths of Illusive Realm.

As usual, there will be a 7-day login event called the Gifts of Fleeting Dreams. Rovers can obtain up to five Lustrous Tides and five Radiant Tides from this.

Camellya will get her own Companion Story titled Forking Paths Among the Stars in the upcoming update. Rovers can play the quest to become familiar with the mysterious Black Shores member and win rewards.
