Wuthering Waves 2.1+ leaks hint at three new Sonata Effects

New leaks have surfaced hinting at two new Sonata Effects in Wuthering Waves. One of them is expected to be a new Echo set for Resonators with the Aero attribute, while the other two are more suited to sub-DPS and support units. The bonuses on these sets are pretty amazing, with one even suggesting a new type of damage. Unfortunately, the leaks do not mention when these sets will be released in the game.

Leaks hint at three new Sonata Effects in Wuthering Waves

Zani Oppai on Telegram recently leaked three potential Echo sets that are expected to be released after the Wuthering Waves 2.1 update. The source is fairly reliable, so the leaks are also likely credible.

The first Sonata Effect is supposedly called the Gusts of Welkin and it has the following set bonuses:

• 2-pc: Aero DMG +10%.
• 5-pc: Inflicting enemies with Aero Erosion increases Crit. Rate by 20% for 15 seconds. Attacking enemies with 6 stacks of Aero Erosion grants a 15% Aero DMG Bonus for 15 seconds.

The first rumored set is for Aero DPS units and hints at a new type of damage called Aero Erosion, which is likely DoT (damage over time). Interestingly, some other Rinascita leaks suggest that Rover might obtain the Aero attribute in the upcoming update, so the Gusts of Welkin could likely be for the Aero Rover.

The second set is called Tidebreaking Courage and has the following set bonuses:

• 2-pc: Energy Regen +10%.
• 5-pc: Increases the Resonator's ATK by 15%. Reaching 250% Energy Regen increases All Attribute DMG by 30% for the Resonator.

Tidebreaking Courage is more suited to sub-DPS units like Zhezhi who need Energy Regen and can deal a decent amount of damage.

The third Echo set is called Wrath of the Deep. It should be noted that the leaker claimed this set was replaced by the aforementioned Energy Regen set but its data is still available so it will likely be released in the future.

Here are the expected set bonuses:

• 2-pc: Max HP +%.
• 5-pc: When the Resonator has a shield, their Max HP is increased by 20%. Upon losing HP, the Resonator's Crit. Rate is increased by 5% for 15 seconds, triggered up to once every second, stacking up to three times.

The Wrath of the Deep is for Resonator that scales on HP, such as the Shorekeeper.

Unfortunately, it is currently unknown when the developer will release these sets in the game and Rovers can only wait for further confirmation.
