Amidst the Stars is a new event in version 1.3 of Wuthering Waves. This event requires players to collect scattered Chrono Traces across the Black Shores and Tethys Sea regions. These can be submitted and exchanged for rewards such as Astrites, Resonance Potions, Advanced Sealed Tubes, Advanced Energy Cores, and Shell Credits.
This event is permanently available, meaning that it can be accessed even after the current duration is over by navigating to the 'Scale of Past' option. This article discusses how to collect all the Chrono Traces in the Black Shores region in the Amidst the Stars event.
Amidst the Stars event eligibility
To access the Amidst the Stars event, players need to have completed two prerequisite quests:

- Main Quest: Act 8 "To the Shore's End"
- Side Quest "Scale of the Past"
If you have not completed these quests, you will need to finish them before you can access the Amidst the Stars event.
Amidst the Stars event guide
Begin the event by interacting with KU-Cass, who can be located near the Tethys Hub Resonance Beacon. After an initial foreword, the robot will instruct you to visit certain areas and take photos of the locations as per the specified guidelines.
There are a total of six locations in the Black Shores region that you will need to collect scattered Chrono Traces from. This guide will help you reach all six locations and meet the necessary objectives to complete the different segments of this event:
Amidst the Stars: I
The first location is beside the TD Observatory Resonance Beacon. Navigate to the area and click on the "Ancient Surveying Equipment" option. Once you do so, you will be prompted to take a photo of the main complex. Switch to your Camera and position it correctly so that the main Greenhouse as well as the other two islands are in focus.
Once the picture has been taken, you can view it from the event page and collect the rewards. Rewards for completing Amidst the Stars: I include:
- 40 Astrites
- 5 Advanced Resonance Potions
- 30000 Shell Credits
Amidst the Stars: II
The second location is located in Tethys' Deep. You can reach it by teleporting to the Eidoscape Resonance Beacon. From here, head southwest till you reach the Greenhouse.
Once at the Greenhouse, you will be prompted to use your Sensor to look for clues. Equip your Sensor and use it to find a glowing Note. Then, go up to the table and interact with it by clicking on the "Touch the Note" option.
After the dialog is complete, you will have finished Amidst the Stars: II. Click on "View" to navigate to the event page and collect the rewards, which are:
- 40 Astrites
- 5 Advanced Energy Cores
- 30000 Shell Credits
Amidst the Stars: III
The third location is also located in Tethys' Deep. Teleport to the Modulation Hall Resonance Beacon and head southwest till you reach the Modulation Hall.
Once at the Hall, equip your Sensor again and use it to detect an Ancient Terminal. Then, climb up to it and interact by choosing the "Inspect the Terminal" option.
Once the dialogue is over, the mission for the Amidst the Stars: III will be complete. Click on "View" to head over to the event page and claim the rewards for completing Amidst the Stars: III:
- 40 Astrites
- 4 Advanced Sealed Tubes
- 30000 Shell Credits
Amidst the Stars: IV
The fourth location is situated in the Bank of Life area in Tethys' Deep. To get there, teleport to the Bank of Life Resonance Beacon and head up the southwest stairs.
Walk up to the figure and click on "Inspect the Shorekeeper's Shadow". There will be a brief dialogue, following which the Shorekeeper's figure will disappear.
Your next objective will be to take a picture of the Data Torrent. Equip your Camera from the Utilities panel, focus on the Data Torrent, and take a picture.
After a brief dialogue with KU-Cass, this segment will be over. You can click on "View" to head to the event page and collect the rewards for completing Amidst the Stars: IV, which are:
- 40 Astrites
- 5 Advanced Resonance Potions
- 30000 Shell Credits
Amidst the Stars: V & VI
To reach the last two locations, you need to complete the "Cerulean Echoes Adrift in the Winds I" quest and start the "Cerulean Echoes Adrift in the Winds II" quest. After progressing to a certain point in the quest, you will reach the location required to complete the last two segments of Amidst the Stars.
You do not need to go out of your way to complete Amidst the Stars V & VI since the objectives will be met automatically as you progress through the quest. After obtaining both Amidst the Stars V and VI in quick succession, click on "View" to go over to the event page and claim the rewards.
Rewards for completing Amidst the Stars V and VI are the following:
- 80 Astrites
- 5 Advanced Energy Cores
- 4 Advanced Sealed Tubes
- 60000 Shell Credits
