Resonators can perform different techniques, like the Intro/Outro skill. This is a combat mechanic where players switch resonators, triggering some buffs or dealing damage in the process. This interaction will only happen when the Concerto Energy is full to cast the Intro/Outro skill in Wuthering Waves.

Players can gather this energy the same way as Resonance Liberation Energy, but the accumulation rate and method vary for each resonator.

  • Normal and Heavy Attacks
  • Perform Perfect Dodges
  • Perform Counterattacks/ Parries

As shown in the list, dealing and dodging damage will allow your characters to gain Concerto Energy consistently. Alternatively, the game features weapons that can also restore Concerto Energy. Here is a quick overview:

  • Cadenza (Pistol)
  • Discord (Broadblade)
  • Marcato (Gauntlet)
  • Scale: Slasher (Sword)
  • Variation (Rectifier)

While all these are more stable methods, we can take this up a notch and try some advanced techniques to instantly fill up the entire Concerto Gauge or at least the majority of it.

Each resonator in Wuthering Waves has a unique method built into their kit that allows them to gain Concerto Energy quickly. For instance, Verina using mid-air attacks when she has Photosynthesis Energy, Jianxin's Resonance Skill, and Sanhua breaking her ice constructs with enhanced heavy attacks instantly recover a good chunk of Concerto Energy.

This implies players must understand their character's kit and how it works to effectively form teams that can quickly cast Intro/Outro Skills.

Using the Concerto Energy is pretty straightforward. Once you fill the gauge, you will hear a sound queue, and your resonator icons will shine. This is when you can switch to another character to activate Intro/Outro skills. It is worth noting that all Intro skills are damage-based and Outro skills are damage or utility buffs.

It is worth noting that activating the Intro/Outro skill will only consume the Concerto Energy of the on-field character.
