Lores Beyond the Ranges is a quest in Wuthering Waves that is available in the Mt. Firmament area. This quest was introduced in the second half of Version 1.1 and requires you to help Xinyi and Qianyue investigate two incidents that have been making waves in Hongzhen. This is quite a simple quest to complete and won't take a lot of your time.

The Lores Beyond the Ranges quest in Wuthering Waves can be started only after completing Changli's Companion Story, Immortal Blaze. Soon after you complete it, you will receive a call from Xinyi. Visit her to start Lores Beyond the Ranges.

Talk to Xinyi and Qianyue

Xinyi talks about the Hongzhen Chronicle's recent endeavours. She also mentions a scholar from the Hongzhen Chronicle named Qianyue has found strange phenomenons in her recent reports while recording tales from Hongzhen.

After talking to Xinyi, approach Qianyue and learn more about the situation. You have to ask questions to a herb collector and a hunter to get more information about the incidents.

Talk to the herb collector first to learn more about his terrifying experience with some monsters near Loong's Crest, and how the Court of Savantae could possibly be linked to it.

After this conversation, talk to the hunter. He mentions that he has seen frozen Tacet Discords and animals near Loong's Ridge. He suspects that a large monster accidentally released by someone could be behind this incident.

Head to Loong's Crest, investigate the anomalies around and defeat the Fractsidus

Your first point of investigation is Loong's Crest. Teleport to the resonance beacon below the mountain and head over to the marked location. Interact with all the anomalies around. Qianyue requests you to use the Sensor to get more information. Once you do this, a couple of Fractsidus members spot you. Defeat them to complete your investigation in Loong's Crest.

Your next stop is Loong's Ridge. Teleport to the southermost resonance beacon and go to the marked location. You can find a bunch of evidence regarding some experiments. Interact with all the objects to learn the truth about the incidents. The Fractsidus is planning to fuse one of its members named Ogo with a Tacet Discord to gain great power.

Head to Xuanji Ridges to stop the plans of the Fractsidus and defeat the Lightcrusher combined with Ogo's frequencies

Teleport to Xuanji Ridges to find the experiment already underway. Ogo's body is absorbed by the Lightcrusher, which makes the Photonvault around it disappear. You have to defeat this Lightcrusher which is combined with Ogo's frequencies. This is an easy enemy to defeat. Unfortunately, defeating the Lightcrusher won't save Ogo's life.

Tell Xinyi the truth

Return to Hongzhen and report to Xinyi about the truth of the incidents. She will thank you for your efforts and expresses high hopes for Qianyue's future.
