Misfortune on a Workday is a Side Quest in Wuthering Waves. It is a hidden mission that can only be triggered by completing some conditions. During the mission, you will rescue an engineer held captive at the Exiles' camp and escort him to a safe place. You will face some groups of Exiles, which can be easily defeated.

Head to Exiles' camp in Gubei Pass and defeat all the mobs south of the small pond. Next, check inside the capsule to find an engineer from the Ministry of Development. Interact with him to start the Misfortune on a Workday hidden quest.

Once you're done talking to the engineer, exit the capsule and wait for him to come out. Next, follow him and defeat all the enemies that come your way. You will face a few groups of Exiles before you reach the destination. Luckily, they are all easy to beat so there's nothing to worry about.

Once you are at the riverside, talk to the Ministry of Development Engineer. After a brief cutscene, the NPC will disappear, but the quest is still incomplete.

Investigate the treasure cave

Follow the quest navigation and enter the cave. You will also find an Echo Challenge at the entrance so it is easy to recognize. At any rate, once you're at the point of interest, interact with the mechanism to open the gate.
