Wuthering Waves Secret Xiaotang quest: How to rescue kittens and get 20 Astrites

There's a hidden quest in Wuthering Waves' Hongzhen sub-area featuring a small girl named Xiaotang who has lost a box. Unfortunately, this mission does not appear in the quest tab so it is easy to miss. During the quest, you have to find the missing box and defeat a few Exile enemies before rescuing two cats. Completing the quest will give you 10 Astrites and a Standard Supply Chest, also worth 10 Astrites.

Wuthering Waves Hidden Xiaotang quest guide

Teleport to the Resonance Nexus in Hongzhen and head northeast to find a little girl named Xiaotang standing alone in front of the building. Interacting with the kid will trigger a few lines mentioning a missing box, a bad guy, and two names - Tabbie and Patchie.

These are all the hints that you can get for the quest. Unfortunately, you won't be able to interact with the girl again.

Head to Loong's Ridge

Start by teleporting to the western Resonance Beacon in Loong's Ridge and head northwest to find a small enemy camp with a few Exiles.

Defeat the Exiles and rescue the cats

Defeat all the Exiles and collect the Standard Supply Chest, worth 10 Astrites. Once you've opened the treasure, a new task will appear on the screen. Next, investigate the source of the sound and break the wooden crates.

You will find two kittens. Interact with them to trigger the next objective.

Return to Xiaotang in Hongzhen

Once you've rescued the cats from the Exiles, return to Hongzhen and meet Xiaotang at her original spot. You will also find the two kittens you saved near her. Finally, interact with Xiaotang. She will talk with the kittens a little before thanking you. This will complete the hidden Xiaotang quest in Wuthering Waves.
