Wuthering Waves Shadows of the Past quest guide

Shadows of the Past in Wuthering Waves is a small Side Quest located in Thorncrown Rises featuring an NPC named Botim, who is an heir of the Fesilia family. During its run, you must fulfill Botim's request and visit Thessaleo Fells to check out the mysterious terminal that is flickering with ominous lights. This is a pretty short quest, and completing it will net you 20 Astrites and other rewards.

Chat with Botim

Go to Thorncrown Rises and talk to Botim (Image via Kuro Games)

Teleport to the Resonance Beacon southeast of Egla Town and look to your right to find Botim looking down the cliff. Talk to him and listen to his request. He will tell you about a "Terminal" that remains in an ancestral site, which was handed down to him by his family. Shadowy monsters keep spawning from it before disappearing on their own.

Investigate the mysterious terminal

Follow the quest navigation and head to the Terminal's location. Once there, investigate the corrupted terminal and talk to the Phantom NPC to learn about the situation. He will tell you that they have taken on the job from the Fisalia family and even collaborated with The Order to harness the "phantoms of salvation" and bring both a true "savior." You can essentially challenge these trials to obtain rewards.

Tell Botim what you discovered

Finally, return to Botim at the cliff and talk to him. Report what you found at the terminal.

Once that is done, Botim will express his gratitude and leave the scene, concluding the Shadows of the Past quest in Wuthering Waves. As a reward for completing the Side Quest, you will get 20 Astrites, two Medium Sealed Tubes, and 10000 Shell Credits.
