Wuthering Waves Trials of Old quest guide

Trials of Old in Wuthering Waves is one of the first Side Quests that you can complete in Rinascita. Upon entering the Whisperwind Haven, you will receive a mysterious mail. This will require you to visit the Porto-Veno Castle to find an illusion of an NPC from the past who wants to complete four trials. You must check out these trials and obtain the Porto-Veno Badges before offering them to the NPC.

Completing the quest will give you many Supply Chest and Astrite rewards. This article will guide you on how to complete the Trials of Old quest in Wuthering Waves.

Read the mysterious mail

The Trials of Old quest will automatically begin once you start Act II of the Rinascita storyline or enter the Whisperwind Haven. You will receive a mysterious mail as soon as the quest begins. Open the mailbox and check it out.

Go to Porto-Veno Castle

Follow the quest navigation and head to the Porto-Veno Castle to find an illusion of an NPC from the past. Interact with her to learn more about the four trials.

Complete four trials (1/4)

Trial of Wisdom (Image via Kuro Games)

There's no specific order to completing the trials, but you can start with the Trial of Wisdom since it is the closest to Porto-Veno Castle. Head north to find a ruin with some paintings. After this, place them in the correct order using the levitator gadget.

Start by picking up the painting of the ship in the sea and placing it on the second base from the left. Next, move the painting on the third base from the left to the fourth base. Shift the painting on the first base to the third. Finally, pick up the last painting on the ground and put it on the first base.

After you are done placing the paintings on the corrects bases, the puzzle will be completed. You will now be rewarded with an Advanced Supply Chest worth 20 Astrites in Wuthering Waves.

Complete four trials (2/4) - Trial of Perception

Once you've completed the Trial of Wisdom, head northwest to find the Trial of Perception. This time you must carefully observe the movements of Vitreum Dancers and position yourself so that you avoid their attacks.

During the three phases, you can stand on the following spots to complete the trial:

1. Go down from the center circle.
2. Go down and turn left from the center circle.
3. Stay in the circle and do not move.

Completing the trial will give you three Supply Chests.

Complete four trials (3/4) - Trial of Swiftness

Teleport to the Twin Peaks Resonance Beacon and head south to find another ruin. Interact with the mechanism to start the Trial of Swiftness.

You must defeat all the illusion enemies within the time limit. Note that they can't be defeated using regular methods. Instead, you must use the grapple and Cuddle Wuddle echo to destroy the pillars and make them fall on the mobs. Completing the trial will give you another Advanced Supply Chest worth 20 Astrites in Wuthering Waves.

The Trial of Bravery is the last one you are tasked with completing. This is a combat challenge during which you have to defeat all the enemies within the time limit.

Return to Porto-Veno Castle and catch up with Chloe

Finally, return to Porto-Veno Castle and talk to Chloe. Give her all the medals and investigate the door to conclude the Trials of Old quest.
