Wuthering Waves Vigil of Endless Night quest guide

Vigil of Endless Night is a new Exploration Quest in the Wuthering Waves 1.2 update. During the quest, you will meet Chenpi and explore a huge underground cave called the Woodveil Hall before reviving the Tianqu Tree. This is a new location in Mt Firmament where you can find several Supply Chests and Tidal Heritages. Completing the quest will reward you with 80 Astrites, a new Trophy, and several other in-game rewards.

This guide explains how to complete the Vigil of Endless Night quest in Wuthering Waves.

Seek Chenpi

You can find the Vigil of Endless Night quest on your quest tab. Track it and find Chenpi in Jinzhou to start the quest. He will tell you about Tianqu Tree's past and how it was worshipped by the people of Hongzhen before it withered away.

Go to the entrance of Woodveil Hall and enter "Woodveil Hall"

Follow the quest navigation and head to the Woodveil Hall near Tianqu Tree in Mt Firmament. Enter the cave and ski down the slope until you reach a Stone Lift puzzle.

Freeze the time with "Chrono Sign" to activate the device and venture deeper

Stand on the stone pressure plate to move the horizontal pillars and use the Chrono Sign (new utility) to freeze time around you. This will open the path for you to venture deeper.

Stand on the pressure plate to move the pillars and freeze time again before passing through the tunnel. Beware of the light beam security. This will take you to the Lower Tier of the Woodveil Hall.

Follow the path to find a Malfunctioning Stone Lift pillar. To activate the device, get close to the pillar and freeze time as soon as the light hits the receiver above the gate. This will unlock the entrance and you will be rewarded with a Standard Supply Chest, worth 10 Astrites in Wuthering Waves.

Try to activate the Prototype Chronosorter

Follow the quest navigation and interact with the Prototype Chronosorter to trigger a few dialogues before getting the next objective to activate all four Security Nodes.

Head to the first Security Node

Find the first Security Node to start the challenge. You must defend the device from multiple enemies. Luckily, you can use the Chrono Sign to freeze them, which will help you defeat the mobs easily. Once you've defeated them all, interact with the node once more to complete the challenge. You will also be rewarded with an Advanced Supply Chest.

Head to the second Security Node and reboot it

For the second security node, stand on the pressure plate and wait for the Malfuncting Stone Lift to go down before freezing time. This will allow the light to reach the receiver and unseal the node. Then, interact with the node and collect the Advanced Supply Chest worth 20 Astrites.

Head to the upper tier of Woodveil Hall and create a path with Chronosorter

Go to the upper tier and use the Chronosorter to change the time. This will summon a few grapple points that you can use to reach the third Security Node. On a related note, you will also find a new Resonance Beacon in Woodveil Hall.

Head to the third Security Node

Use the new Hoverdroid Shooter or any Pistol user to hit the Photonvaults and remove the seal.

Defeat all the enemies (Image via Kuro Games)

Interact with the Security Node to start the challenge. Once again, you must defeat all the enemies while protecting the device. However, this challenge is more difficult than the previous one. You can lower the SOL3 Phase Level if you're having difficulty completing it.

Once done, open the Security Node and collect the Advanced Supply Chest worth 20 Astrites in Wuthering Waves.

Head to the fourth Security Node

Start the Clang Bang Echo Challenge and break the ice floor to get to the lower floor.

You will find another Stone Lift challenge. To solve it, stand on the pressure plate and wait for all the lights to hit the receiver before freezing the time. This will activate the device and complete the challenge. Lastly, interact with the Security Node to get another Advanced Supply Chest in Wuthering Waves.

Defeat the rogue defense unit and activate the Prototype Chronosorter

Follow the quest navigation and return to the main hall. Next, defeat the rogue defense unit before activating the Prototype Chronosorter. This will trigger a short cutscene and you will be teleported outside the cave near the Tianqu Tree.

Tell Chenpi everything that happened in Woodveil Hall

Return to Jinzhou and talk to Chenpi the Relic Merchant. This will complete the Wuthering Waves Vigil of Endless Night quest and you will receive the following rewards:
