The roster for WWE Immortals

According to an announcement made in this week’s episode of Smackdown, the recently launched WWE Immortals has been downloaded by over 2.7 million people. The free-to-play mobile game released in mid-January for the Android and iOS devices.

Unlike WWE 2K, Immortals adds a bit more fantasy to the wrestling game by changing the wrestlers appearance and adding special character powers. So the fighters look like they just hopped out of a Mortal Kombat game, which isn’t too surprising given that the game is developed by the same guys behind the Mortal Kombat series.

The game has already gotten very popular since its release two weeks ago and developers are planning to support it with more updates in the future, some of which will include a few more wrestlers. They are also looking for some valuable feedback from the player base regarding which wrestler gets added, so you can head over to the game's official forums and post your opinions.

With over 2.7 million downloads since its launch, WWE Immortals has been extremely successful and has gathered more players then WWE Network subscribers (which has just over 1 million user). So hopefully WWE will take note and release more mobile based games in the future. Who knows, we might even see a PC port sometime soon.

WWE Immortals was developed by NeatherRealms Studios and Phosphor Game Studios and features 14 wrestlers currently. You can head over to the Apple or Play store to download a free copy of the game.
