A native 1080p resolution was semi-confirmed for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on PS4 earlier this week. Now, Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer Games has revealed the exact specifications for both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the upcoming game.
While Condrey did confirm that the PS4 version would run at a native 1080p, he also revealed that the Xbox One would come in slightly under that magic number of pixels. He also revealed that the Xbox One version of the game would run at a minimum resolution of 1360×1080, dynamically scaling from there to 1080p. As Condrey notes, “That’s over 50% increase from last year… Both running at rock solid 60fps,” comparing Advanced Warfare to Call Of Duty: Ghosts.
If resolutions make a difference to you, and if you’re a PS4 owner, Advanced Warfare is good to go. The game is almost certain to look better on the PS4 than the Xbox One. Though the difference won’t be nearly as noticeable as last year’s games, it would be enough for the PS4 fans to rejoice.
