Ubisoft revealed Season 1 of XDefiant, including the new GSK faction and several other features. The new faction consists of elite forces from GSG9 members of Rainbow Six Siege that have several abilities to counter opponents and defend a site. Apart from that, the developers introduced new maps - Clubhouse which is inspired by the Rainbow Six Siege maps, Daytona, and Rockefeller - and several new weapons like LVOA-C and L115 to dominate the battleground.

All GSK faction abilities in XDefiant Season 1

The GSK faction is similar to characters from the popular Ubisoft title, Rainbow Six Siege. The abilities of this faction are extremely strong, making the operators an ideal defensive tool if you choose Zone Control. Here are all their abilities:

Active ability 1: Shockwire
Active ability 2: Automatic Defense System (ADS)
Passive ability: Ballistic Helmet
Ultra: G52 Tactical shield

Active Ability 1 - Shockwire

The Shockwire ability can be placed in chock points, mostly in key areas, to prevent enemies from advancing. It's perfect for defending sites as enemies walking through the wire get trapped, shocked, and unable to progress, making them an easy kill for you.

Active Ability 2 - ADS (Automatic Defense System)

The ADS ability can be placed on floors, walls, ceilings, or any other objects like wooden boxes or cozy corridors in the game. This ability helps to destroy incoming grenades, which is perfect for defending an objective.

Passive Ability - Ballistic Helmet

The Ballistic Helmet serves as a defensive tool that can mitigate damage from headshots. You will not be eliminated by a single headshot, even when targeted by powerful weapons such as sniper rifles.

GSK faction Ultra Ability

The Ultra Ability is the G52 Tactical Shield which can be equipped to prevent you from taking damage. The Shield is equipped with a frontal flash which can blind the enemy in its coverage. Moreover, you can use pistols and give lethal damage to foes behind the shield.
