All game modes in XDefiant Ranked Play

There are four game modes featured in a 4v4 playlist in XDefiant Ranked Play:

  • Occupy
  • Domination
  • Zone Control
  • Escort

These modes are similar to the casual game modes but with a few changes.

In Occupy, the zones rotate in a predetermined order which gives players the chance to strategize for the next round.

The Domination mode grants each team a five-minute stint on one side of the map, followed by a halftime switch, where they then engage on the opposing side.

Zone Control differs from its counterpart in casual mode. The teams alternate between attacker and defender roles. Notably, defenders can now repel attacks or advance adversaries' capture progress to the nearest quarter of the control circle.

The Escort mode operates similarly to its casual version. Players are divided into attackers and defenders, with the former collaborating to escort the objective and the latter strategizing to obstruct the attackers and prevent the payload from reaching its destination.
