MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is an American YouTuber, best known for his expensive stunts. MrBeast is often considered to be the YouTuber who popularized a separate genre of ‘expensive stunts'. Today, MrBeast has over 44 million subscribers on YouTube.
MrBeast is one of the most popular social media influencers around, and is known for hosting regular giveaways and acts of philanthropy. Recently, we talked about a video that MrBeast posted of himself from back when he had around 8,000 subscribers.
The YouTuber gave a genuine account of what he expected from his future, and hoped to reach a million followers someday. Now that he has done 44 times better than what he hoped for, MrBeast has evolved into one of the most philanthropic YouTubers of this generation. What's more is that in the future, we might even see him run for the US presidency!
In this article, we look at a recent series of challenges that MrBeast gave to random fans in exchange of some expensive prizes and/or cash.
YouTuber MrBeast makes an offer that no one can refuse, but there is a catch
The challenges themselves were quite interesting, as fans were asked to do different kinds of things to win the prizes. First up, he asked a fan to choose between a $38,000 diamond ring and a giant cheque which had its value covered. You can watch the video at the end of the article to find out what he ended up going for!
Later, we saw another fan try to guess how many gumballs a jar had. Under pressure, the fan gave a number higher than 72,000. However, he was way off. You can look at the picture below to take a guess for yourself.
Another challenge had three fans who had to stand below different buckets. One of the buckets had $10,000 in cash, while the others had mustard and slime. Further, we saw a challenge where a fan was asked to lay out the room with as many cups as he could in one day.
As you can see above, the fan managed to lay out quite a few of them. Although he laid out around 4700, MrBeast ended up rounding off the figure to a handsome $5000!
Other challenges involved picking out a briefcase full of cash from a slab of ice, while a rather elaborate challenge allowed fans to pick out their prizes from a ‘prize-table’. To win, they had to score some buckets, with each bucket being worth one item from the table.
Towards the end, we saw a couple who was asked three questions separately, with $15000 at stake. Winning the money required them to answer all the questions accurately. The final question turned out to be the guy proposing to his girlfriend, who went on to say yes!
