Yunli vs Jiaoqiu: Best Honkai Star Rail character to get in version 2.4

Yunli and Jiaoqiu are the upcoming 5-star characters in Honkai Star Rail. Both units will see their debut during the version 2.4 patch which is set to commence on July 31, 2024. While both units excel in dealing damage to opponents, their play style is somewhat dissimilar from the other. Because of this difference, Trailblazers may wonder about what character they should be aiming for in Honkai Star Rail version 2.4.

Jiaoqiu is the better 5-star character in Honkai Star Rail version 2.4

Without a doubt, Trailblazers should pull for Jiaoqiu during the second phase of Honkai Star Rail version 2.4. He is the newest Path Nihility unit wielding the Fire element excelling in inflicting debuff on the adversaries. Picking Jiaoqiu is a no-brainer for those eagerly waiting for his release in the turn-based gacha title from HoYoverse and pairs excellently with Acheron.

Apart from that, the new players can pull for Jiaoqiu if they have either Kafka or Acheron in their possession. If you don't have any of the aforementioned characters, it is recommended that you skip him for any other character who is released in version 2.4.

Advantages of Jiaoqiu over Yunli

• Jiaoqiu can boost his allies' Ultimate damage while Yunli cannot.
• Gathering Relics and Planar Ornaments for Jiaoqiu is easier than Yunli.
• Low chance of getting power crept by other units.

Advantages of Yunli over Jiaoqiu

• Yunli can deal a significant amount of damage to multiple enemies at once.
• Can fit into some team compositions as the main or sub-DPS unit.
• Yunli’s build is similar to most DPS characters while Jiaoqiu is similar to supports.

Having said that, it depends on the Trailblazers on what characters they decide to pull since it is their hard-earned Stellar Jades or Star Rail Special Passes. Additionally, if you turn a blind eye to the title’s constant meta changes, you can also summon any character you desire.

However, the players who are always on the lookout for the units to build the perfect team will likely go for Jiaoqiu since he is the perfect support for the Galaxy Ranger, Acheron.
