Investigator Logs can be farmed from Combat Simulations. A higher tier of this currency can be obtained from Residual Signal Exchange, unlockable with mission progress.

Plating Agents are materials used to upgrade Disc Drives in the game. Disc Drives are equivalent to "Artifacts" from Genshin Impact or "Relics" from Honkai Star Rail. They usually come with set bonuses, allowing a character to grow more powerful with additional stats.

There are three main Gacha currencies that players must keep track of. Much like HoYoverse standard banner procedure, Zenless Zone Zero also has a standard banner, a weapon banner, a limited banner, and a beginner's banner. Here's what each banner requires from the player:

  • Limited banner and weapon banner: Encrypted Master Tape (equivalent to Star Rail Special Pass from Honkai Star Rail, or Intertwined Fate from Genshin Impact)
  • Standard banner and beginner's banner: Master Tape (equivalent to Star Rail Pass from Honkai Star Rail, or Acquaint Fate from Genshin Impact)

All Master Tapes can be converted from Polychromes, where 160 Polychromes equals a Master Tape of choice.

How to get Gacha currencies in Zenless Zone Zero?

Since all Master Tapes eventually come from Polychromes, the latter is the premium Gacha currency, equivalent to Stellar Jades from Honkai Star Rail, and Primogems from Genshin Impact. Sources to acquire Polychromes include mission completions, Inter-Knot levels, daily tasks, weekly goals, and 24-hour shop.
