Zenless Zone Zero Path of the Proxy 1 guide

Much like its elder siblings, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero has its level progression locked behind certain “Paths,” which must be cleared as a prerequisite. Clearing these stages is mandatory to progress through the game and uncap your characters (and their skills), which are divided into four such Paths.

This article focuses on the Zenless Zone Zero Path of the Proxy 1 - the very first obstacle players will encounter in the game. A breakdown of the best teams and general strategy to follow here can be found below.

How to complete the Zenless Zone Zero Path of the Proxy 1

This particular Path of the Proxy is found under Zenless Zone Zero Chapter 1’s [Rank Up] mission and will be your first real challenge. The mode features three waves of enemies that must be beaten without your team suffering a KO in the process.

A minimum character level of 20 is recommended for the fight. However, I’d recommend leveling up every character to 30 before attempting this Zenless Zone Zero path of the Proxy 1 node.

Best general team for Zenless Zone Zero Path of the Proxy 1

A basic Zenless Zone Zero starter team of the following characters should be considered for this battle:

• Nicole Demara: Your general debuffer and/or support. Equip her with Slice of Time for her W-Engine and 2pc Swing Jazz, along with 4pc Chaotic Metal for an optimal setup.
• Billy Kid: Your first DPS. Specializes in Physical damage, and can be equipped with Starlight Engine for his W-Engine. For his Drive Discs use Hormone Punk (2pc) and Fanged Metal (4pc).
• Anby Demara: Your second DPS. Anby can Stun enemies with Shock and works best with her Signature Demara Battery Mark II W-Engine. For her Drive Discs, use Shockstar Disco (4pc) and Thunder Metal (2pc).

This lineup of characters should be good enough for clearing the fight with relative ease.

Best strategy to follow for Zenless Zone Zero Path of the Proxy 1

You will face off against three waves of enemies in Path of the Proxy 1. Each wave will consist of differing enemies. Additionally, they will include one boss total.

Refer to the following tips and tricks to have an easier time in the battle:

• Press on the offensive using your attackers. Opt to switch to Nicole from time to time in order to apply debuffs.
• Dodge any attacks indicated by a red flash.
• Parry attacks using the character switch button when the indicator flashes yellow.
• Spam Anby’s skills (Y on controller) to apply Shock on enemies and stun them.
• Rinse and repeat to clear the stages.

Power through all three bosses to clear the stage and further unlock your level cap, among other changes.
