Zenless Zone Zero Qingyi build: Best W-engine, drive disc, skills and teams

Qingyi is the latest addition to the Zenless Zone Zero's roster of new characters. An S-rank Electric Stun Agent, she is a member of the New Eridu Public Security faction. Being a stun-oriented character, Qingyi's main role is to deal Electric damage that helps stun enemies very fast, allowing your main DPS agents to deal massive amounts of damage.

Qingyi is a very valuable addition to any team, as her support capabilities are exceptionally good. This article provides a guide on how to build Qingyi, including her best W-engine, drive discs, skill sets, and team compositions.

Qingyi can be built with quite a few different W-engine and drive disc options. However, as with all other Agents, there are a few specific W-engines and drive discs that she can make the best use of.

Qingyi: Best W-engines (in ranked order)

1) Ice-Jade Teapot (S-Rank)

This is Qingyi's Signature W-engine and is the best-in-slot W-engine for her. With the Ice-Jade Teapot equipped, every Basic Attack grants one stack of 'Tea-rrific', which can be stacked up to a total of 30 times. Each of these stacks increases the user's Impact by 0.7%. Once 15 stacks have been accumulated, the entire team's damage increases by 20% for ten seconds.

This makes the Ice-Jade Teapot Qingyi's best W-engine. Not only does it buff Qingyi's Impact, but it also provides a teamwide damage boost.

2) The Restrained (S-Rank)

Even though this is Lycaon's W-engine, you can also use it for Qingyi. This W-engine increases the damage and Daze taken by enemies from Basic Attacks, which works perfectly with Qingyi's kit.

Despite being an A-rank W-engine, Qingyi can make good use of the Steam Oven, which increases the user's Impact, stacking up to a total of eight times. If you equip this W-engine on Qingyi, you can get maximum utility out of her EX Special Attacks.

This is Anby's signature W-engine, and as a fellow Stun-oriented Agent, Qingyi can make very good use of it. The Demara Battery Mark II is a perfect free-to-play W-engine option for Qingyi, as it increases Electric DMG by 15%-24% and also helps with energy regeneration.

4PC Shockstar Disco + 2PC Swing Jazz is Qingyi's best drive disc combination. The 4PC Shockstar Disco is a must-have for any Stun character, as it increases the user's Impact by 6%, while also letting them inflict 20% more Daze on enemies.

The 2PC Swing Jazz goes best with the 4PC Shockstar Disco, as it helps generate Energy faster with its 20% Energy Regen buff. You can also use other 2PC options such as Woodpecker Electro Puffer Electro or Thunder Metal for more Electric DMG.

Qingyi is fairly easy to play, but using her optimal rotations and team compositions can go a long way in making the most of her kit. Qingyi's main job is to stun the enemies into incapacitation, and she needs to utilize her kit mechanics to the fullest to do the best job.

Qingyi's kit revolves around the 'Flash Connect Voltage' mechanics. When Qingyi deals Electric damage, she builds up this Flash Connect Voltage (which is visible via a bar underneath her health bar when she is on the field). Qingyi can deal Electric DMG in a variety of ways, which include:

using her third Basic Attack
using her EX Special Attack
via Assists
using her Dodge Counter
via Chain Attacks
using her Ultimate

Once Qingyi's Flash Connect Voltage reaches 75%, holding Qingyi's Basic Attack consumes all her Voltage and deals an attack called 'Enchanted Moonlit Blossoms'. This attack increases the Daze she inflicts on enemies and significantly increases their Stun DMG Multiplier. This Stun DMG Multiplier can stack up to a total of 20 times, which greatly buffs your DPS character's damage output.

Qingyi's Skill priority is Core Skill > Basic Attack > EX Special attack. Her other attacks are not as important, and you can level them up according to your convenience.
