HoYoverse rolled out the preload feature for the Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 update on December 16, 2024. Players can use the opportunity to download the necessary files ahead of the patch release as long as their device has the required storage space. Here are the ZZZ 1.4 preload sizes for different platforms:

• PC: 18 GB
• Mobile: 10 GB

The ZZZ 1.4 preload feature is currently available on PC, Android, and iOS devices. Listed below are the steps to complete the process for the respective platforms.

How to preload ZZZ 1.4 on PC:

• To pre-download the version 1.4 files on your PC, launch the HoYoPlay launcher.
• In case you have multiple HoYoverse titles installed in your system, pick ZZZ from the list of games.
• Click on the Pre-Install icon, which should be located right beside the Start button. Doing so will open a small pop-up window showing the Resource Package Size and preload space requirements.
• Click on the Download button as long as you have sufficient storage available to initiate the preload process.

How to preload ZZZ 1.4 on mobile:

• Launch ZZZ on your mobile device and navigate to the login screen.
• Find the Pre-Download Resource Icon in the bottom right corner of the page and click on it. This will open a small pop-up window showing the required storage space.
• Hit Confirm to preload the patch 1.4 files.

Follow the steps above irrespective of Android and iOS devices to successfully initiate the download. On PC, the game can be played with the preload running in the background. Mobile users are not so fortunate, as they are locked out of ZZZ throughout the process.
