HoYoverse has recently conducted the Zenless Zone Zero drip marketing campaign, revealing Evelyn Chevalier as the upcoming character. She was previously teased in the TGA 2024 trailer, which has thoroughly intrigued the players. Thankfully, the official reveal contains all the necessary details about the character, including her faction, element, and fighting style.

Zenless Zone Zero drip markets version 1.5 character Evelyn

Fans who’ve seen the Zenless Zone Zero trailer at TGA 2024 will recognize Evelyn as the person following Astra Yao throughout the video. Evelyn appears to be Astra Yao's manager, who will also become playable in version 1.5, as confirmed by the drip marketing campaign. Proxies can learn a lot about her via some of the dialogues from other characters in the game.

Here’s what Astra Yao has to say about Evelyn in ZZZ:

“Wow, you’re so sharp, Eve! What did you do before becoming a manager… a detective? Or PubSec officer?”

While losing ground in a business negotiation, an investor rep shared the following remark about Evelyn Chevalier:

“She’s unyielding, sharp, decisive, and never leaves openings for a rebuttal. With a manager like that paving the way, no wonder she’s earning what she does.”

After seeing Evelyn for the first time, one of Astra Yao's newest fans said:

Evelyn’s expected release window and character type in Zenless Zone Zero

Evelyn is expected to be released alongside Astra Yao in the ZZZ 1.5 update, which will likely go live around January 22, 2025. The speculation is based on the five-week runtime of patch 1.4. HoYoverse has yet to announce when exactly Evelyn's banner will launch in the update. She might be released in the second phase of patch 1.5 based on the drip marketing order.
