Zenless Zone Zero is packed with plenty of content for players to discover. One of its more hidden aspects is the signature W-Engines that each Agent has and the exclusive skin effects that come along with it. When Agents use their signature W-Engines, they acquire unique visual effects. Some of them are quite easy to notice while others are hard to spot during the chaos.

How to unlock exclusive skin effects in Zenless Zone Zero

You can unlock exclusive skin effects in Zenless Zone Zero by acquiring an Agents' Signature W-Engine and equipping it. Usually, it is quite easy to understand whose Signature W-Engine it is by looking at the stats and passive it provides.

Once you acquire a W-Engine, equip it on an Agent. If it is the Agent's Signature W-Engine, you will see a switch just below the W-Engine. If the switch is red, it means that the exclusive skin effect option is active. You can turn off the skin effect by simply clicking the switch. You will receive a prompt when you do this for the first time.

Here are some of the most noticeable exclusive skin effects in the game:

• If Ben has the Big Cylinder as his W-Engine, his eye and scar glow after using an EX Special Attack, Assist, Chain Attack or Ultimate
• If Soukaku is using the Bashful Demon as her W-Engine, her tail and horns glow when you use her EX Special Attack, Assist, Chain Attack or Ultimate
• Equipping the Housekeeper W-Engine on Corin makes her hair turn green when she uses her EX Special Attack, Assist, Chain Attack or Ultimate
• When Anby uses her EX Special Attack, Assist, Chain Attack or Ultimate and has the Demara Battery Mark II W-Engine equipped, the lower part of her hair turns blue.
