Zero Hour V1.0 has finally been released on Steam. It is a team-based tactical FPS developed by M7 Productions and Attrito featuring both PvP as well as PvE modes. The shooter initially launched into Early Access on Steam back in 2020. During this phase, Zero Hour received a lot of support from the community and tons of positive feedback. Finally, four years after being in Early Access, the title has gone gold.

In this article, we'll take a closer look at Zero Hour V1.0 and everything that you need to know.

What is Zero Hour V1.0? The latest team-based tactical FPS explained

Zero Hour V1.0 is an online tactical first-person shooter based on various fictional locations in Bangladesh featuring both a PvE and a PvP mode.

In the PvE mode, players can join with up to nine others, forming a 10-member squad. If, however, players do not want to play it with others, they can instead squad up with nine other AI players to take on tactical missions that have been built from the ground up to take advantage of the various gameplay mechanics in the shooter.

These missions aren't just holding down the trigger of your gun. They will put your strategic thinking to the test and do not be surprised if you come across NPCs as you complete your objectives.

You'll also get access to a planning table, which is a 3D rendition of an interactive map, that'll allow you to plan with your team before a mission.

The PvP mode comprises 5v5 games with game modes such as Bomb Defusal, Hostage Rescue, and classic Deathmatch. Needless to say, there are loadouts that allow you to customize and build from a list of 23 weapons and 18 utilities. All these modes are available to play from a list of 18 maps at the moment.

There's one more thing that stands out and makes it a unique shooter. You get a K9 companion right at the beginning of the game. You'll start with a nameless puppy which you get to assign a name.

This puppy will stay with you for the first three missions and the training section of the game, following you around, learning, and growing into a full-sized canine, which will then become available for deployment in missions with you.

So who is the game for? If you love a slow-paced tactical first-person shooter with strategic and methodical gameplay, Zero Hour delivers a compelling experience. On the other hand, if you want fast-paced Call of Duty gunplay, this game may not be to your taste.

Now that you have a general idea of what the title entails, you must be wondering whether it will run on your hardware. Fortunately, the system requirements for the game are quite modest and you won't need the latest and greatest to be able to play the game. Check out the section below for the official system requirements of Zero Hour V1.0.
