Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream summary: Redeem code, new characters, Bangboo, events and features

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream showcased all the exciting new updates that the game will receive with the upcoming patch. This includes more characters, especially from the Sons of Caldyon faction. Aptly named Tour De Inferno, version 1.2 is set to be released later this month on September 25, 2024.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream overview

New agents

HoYoverse announced two more new Agents who will join the game's roster with the upcoming update. Ceaser King and Burnice White from the Sons of Caldyon faction in Zenless Zone Zero are set to debut in the patch, bringing the number of agents from this faction to a total of four.

New Bangboo

The new Bangboo is called Red Moccus and will be added to the Bangboo banner. You can recruit it using your Boopons that you will obtain via events.

New W-Engines

Besides each of the new Agents, their exclusive W-Engines will also make their debut in each phase of version 1.2

New story

The main story will continue from where it left off and eventually, you will arrive in the new area of The Outer Rim. You will also get to experience Burnice's Agent Story, A Stroke of Luck.

New event

The flagship event of version 1.2 is called Overlord's Feast. Here, Proxies will be tasked with restoring an old diner to its former glory. You will need to cook and serve the guests among other activities to run the diner. You will be able to recruit Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero by completing the various tasks during this event.

Besides the Overlord's Feat, the following events were also announced during the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream:

• Roaming the Ether
• Ridu for you
• 141 Friendship Fair
• Phantom Hunt
• Investigator Training Course

New Drive Disks

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream also highlighted two new Drive Disk Sets that will make their way when the update goes live, which are:

• Chaos Jazz
• Proto Punk

These new sets are catered to the new Agents.

New Area

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream also showcased a new area, The Outer Ring. The Wild West-themed desert area is located outside of New Eridu and is a provider of oil to the city. The Biker Gangs are the ones who maintain order and supply chains in the lawless Outer Ring.

New feature: Motorbike

HoYoverse also showcased a new gameplay feature, the bike. You can ride the new Motorbike while exploring The Outer Ring location.

New redemption code

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream also revealed a new redemption code:

• TOURDEINFERNO: 300x Polychromes, 2x Senior Investigator Logs, 3x W-Engine Energy Modules, 30,000x Dennies

As is the norm with every patch, the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream announced the following rewards that you will get the following by logging into the game for a week after the update:

• 10x Master Encrypted Tapes
• 10x Boopons

Optimization Changes

Besides the exciting new storyline, events, and rewards, HoYoverse also announced a plethora of optimization changes and quality-of-life updates that will be making their way to the game in version 1.2:

• You can unlock the Withering Garden just by completing the pre-requisites.
• The Withering Garden will also get a new Blitz Mode which will remove the TV Board. You will also be able to choose modifiers that increase the challenge. Completing it in a higher challenge will give you more points.
• You don't need to explore the TV mode again to obtain the rewards. Any missing rewards will be collected automatically by using the new Fairy Auto Explore feature.
• TV mode has been optimized. Some animations will play out fast and you will also be able to skip certain sections among other optimizations.
• Your extra Battery Charge will now be stored in a bank and won't be wasted. You can draw the reserve when you feel like farming.
• Squads now can be saved alongside their bangboos. You will also be able to quickly swap your team while changing stages in Shiyu Defense.
• You will also be able to roam the overworld as either the proxies or Ceaser and Burnice during version 1.2.
• You will also be able to progress the timer as you want.
