Trivia: Silverstone is built on the site of a World War II Royal Air Force bomber station, RAF Silverstone, which opened in 1943. The airfield's three runways, in classic WWII triangle format, lie within the outline of the present track.

Trivia: The complex also features a quarter-mile track for drag racing. It hosts one of the largest drag racing events in Europe, known as the NitrOlympx, and was one of the last Top Fuel circuits to race to 1,320 feet before the FIA switched the nitro categories to the now-recognized 1,000 foot distance in 2012.

Trivia: The most famous part of the circuit is the Eau Rouge / Raidillon combination. Having negotiated the La Source hairpin, drivers race down a straight to the point where the track crosses the Eau Rouge stream for the first time, before being launched steeply uphill into a sweeping left-right-left collection of corners with a blind summit.

Trivia: The high-speed oval 4.250 km with banked sopraelevata curves. The two circuits can be combined to re-create the former 10 km long circuit, with cars running parallel on the main straight.

Trivia: One of the most demanding tracks on the calendar, Suzuka is known for its neck crunching turns. And then there is the feud between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost which has been etched in the history of this circuit.

Trivia: The Russian Grand Prix was last held in the year 1914. It returns after a 100-year absence and the track has an intriguing look to it. The turns 2, 3, 4 and 5 look the most demanding. One can expect some overtaking manoeuvres between turns 11 and 14.

Trivia: The Grand Plaza, 20 acres in size, includes a large reflecting pool, lawn, and varying landscape zones.
Then there is the Austin 360 Amphitheatre, which can accommodate up to 14,000 people with 5,240 permanent reserved seats. Another 1,700 seats can be configured on the stage-front floor and there is standing room for 2,300. The remaining general admission spots are on a sloping grass area behind the reserved seats.

Trivia: Best way to finish the season? Have a day and night race! The circuit cost £800 million and one of the most exciting attractions in proximity of the track is the Ferrari world theme park. It isn’t the easiest race to drive in as the transition from day to night can be a little tricky.
