This season is in for some major changes and revamps
This year, many teams have shaken up and have made a few changes for the new season. Some teams have not only changed their drivers, but some cars will feature new engines too. But truck load of changes have occurred in the rival camps. The biggest alteration, at the top, is coming in form of two key driver moves. This has of course affected a few more domino effect to this year’s starting grid.
Also, Honda’s comeback to sport as an engine supplier to McLaren has meant a lot of buzz and waves in the paddock. Besides this, Lotus is switching over to Mercedes power, after breaking their long-marriage with Renault at the end of last year. No new teams are coming in for 2015, but three new drivers are set make their debut this year.
Toro Rosso is going in for an all-rookie driver lineup, where current Formula Renault 3.5 champion, Spain’s Carlos Sainz Junior, will partner Max Verstappen. With the Dutch racer set to become Formula 1’s youngest driver ever at the age of 17.
Meanwhile, Sauber have put faith in Brazilian youngster Felipe Nasr. As for Marussia and Caterham, their future looks bleak, as no deal to save them has yet been made by anyone.
