Lewis Hamilton claimed his 50th pole position of his career at the Australian Grand Prix to get his season off to the near-perfect start on Saturday. His Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg finished second while Sebastian Vettel took third place.
Both the Force India drivers finished in the Top 10 as well with Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg finishing 9th and 10th respectively.
The disappointment of the day came courtesy Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, who finished 12th and 13th respectively.

This was the first race that was conducted in the new regulations but it didn't find a lot of positive reveiews.
