#4 - 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix: Hamilton goes past hero Senna
Few drivers have managed to garner what Lewis Hamilton has: to match and then, successfully go past a record held by Senna for decades, that of 65 career poles.
One of the most dramatic races and results in F1's history came at the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where the "master of late braking" Daniel Ricciardo would clinch one of his feistiest wins ever after jumping several positions to occupy the top step at the sweltering Central Asian heartland.
But even the Vettel versus Hamilton (exchange of words and) drama, following the German's accusation of the Briton that "Hamilton brake-tested me" made for grim headlines, Hamilton, who missed on a podium spot would clinch his highlight at Baku.
On Saturday, a day prior to race day at Baku, he would secure a sizzling pole in clipping the barrier, and grabbing an edgy 1:40: 593, which would be his 66th career pole. This sensational feat would mean that Hamilton had leapfrogged his racing-idol, Ayrton Senna.
