With the last race coming up this weekend, all eyes are on the 2 Mercedes’ drivers fighting for the championship but there are many more things happening in F1 right now.
Ferrari looking for their first win of the year, Massa and Button probably racing for the last time in their long careers and Vettel getting frustrated with each race, there are lots of things that we’ll get to see in the Yas Marina Circuit next weekend.
Let us look at the things that should not happen in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this year:
Max Verstappen has a DNF:

Little Maxie has been having the time of his life right now, and the fans are loving it.
Max Verstappen probably drove the best race of this decade in the last Brazilian race in wet conditions coming from 15th position to secure an improbable podium in the latter stages of the race. It would be a shame if Max does not do something spectacular again in the last race of the year.
Nico Rosberg took all the momentum coming in to this year by winning the last 3 races and is most likely going to win the championship this year. The fans would love to see Max win another race this year and take all the momentum to the 2017 race calendar.
Felipe Massa or Jenson Button having a DNF
Both these men have been great stalwarts of the sport. Button has been a former F1 champion and Massa came as close as it could ever be in 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix to being a champion; both have been the nicest persons on the grid.
Button has confirmed he will “all but leave” at the end of this season. Massa had a DNF in his last home race and thus the fans cried, he cried, even the rival teams’ pitcrew cried as he walked back through the pitlane after an accident ruined his last home race. The emotions will be running high but everyone would want both these drivers to finish well, hopefully in the points, or even end up on the podium.
Explicit radio chatter
This year has seen a lot of drivers getting frustrated and shouting on their team radio, a lot of which has been aired on TV and though such chatter may excite the fans, it is not healthy for the sport.
With experienced drivers losing their cool on the team radio, it does not set a good example for the youngsters who are dreaming to be an F1 racer in the future. Though healthy racing rivalry must be encouraged, such blatant radio messages should come to an end.
A Mercedes 1-2
Though this is most likely going to happen and it is nothing bad for the fans, they may be bored of the same results this year.
Irrespective of whichever driver finishes on any side of the podium, Nico will be crowned champion. There has been a lot of drama this year and fanswould not like to have a stalemate to end the year. Moreover for all the F1 enthusiasts there will be no more races for the next 3 months until March, so we should end the year with a bang.
Rosberg and Hamilton having a collision in the first corner
This is something which may happen. Such things have happened in F1 ealier and this may happen again this year too. Nico Rosberg has played very safe in the last few races as Hamilton has collected a few trophies but with the final showdown in Abu Dhabi and Rosberg having a mere 13 point margin, we will have a great show if the race goes till the end. Rosberg and Hamilton colliding may spoil the party of a perfect finish, but we won’t be unhappy if they collide but still stay in the race.
If they do collide we may have 3 scenarios-
Both go out of the race and Rosberg wins the championship.
Rosberg suffers damage and has to come back from the last to battle against Hamilton who didn’t suffer much damage.
Rosberg gets disqualified and Hamilton has to come back all the way from last to win the championship.
