#5 Fernando Alonso
Still a strong force in 2014, Fernando Alonso made his F1 debut in 2001 at the age of 19 years and 218 days. On 25 September 2005, he won the driver's Championship title at the age of 24 years and 58 days, making him the youngest to win at the time. He retained the title the following season and became the youngest double champion at the time.

#4 Ricardo Rodriguez
Ricardo Rodriguez was a Mexican driver who competed in the 1961 F1 season at the age of 19 years and 208 days. He was impressive in the F1 car and was expected to be a future champion. However, a tragic accident in 1962 resulted in the death of the young Mexican.
#3 Mike Thackwell
On 28 September 1980, Mike Thackwell became the then youngest F1 driver at the age of 19 years and 182 days. The driver from New Zealand was described as a ‘teenage sensastion’ when he made his debut at the Canadian GP.
#2 Jaime Alguersuari
Jaime Alguersuari was 19 years and 125 days old when he made his F1 debut in 2009. Currently racing in Formula E, the Spanish driver is also a renowned DJ in Spain.

Sixteen-year-old racer Max Verstappen will see the five red lights illuminate to start his career as a F1 driver in the 2015 season. Scuderia Toro Rosso have confirmed that the Dutchman would replace Jean-Éric Vergne and partner Daniil Kvyat in the next season.
He will be 17-years-old when he first gets into an F1 car, making him the youngest racer in history.
