#1 Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton - 1st
Was there any doubt that Lewis Hamilton would wrap up the season with a race victory?
Of course, there wasn't as the Briton finishes the year winning 11 out of the 21 races that took place this year.
Hamilton achieved pole position in Saturday's qualifying and led out the pack in Sunday's race with no real problems. There were one or two little moments when Sebastian Vettel was nearby but no real threat towards Hamilton's race lead.
So Hamilton will end the year with 5 world championships to his name and now has two more seasons left on his Mercedes contract.
Two consecutive championships to match Michael Schumacher's 7?

Valtteri Bottas - 5th
When you compare Valtteri Bottas' first season at Mercedes to 2018 campaign, there has been no improvement from the Fin.
Bottas ended the 2018 season with no wins to his name. His previous win in F1 was at the 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
2017 saw Bottas win three races in order to lead Mercedes to a 4th consecutive constructors championship.
With no wins in 2018, some reckon there is pressure on Bottas' shoulders ahead of next season especially the news of Esteban Ocon joining the silver arrows as a reserve driver.
Could Ocon be Bottas' successor in 2019?
