German F1 racer, Adrian Sutil is confident that he will be able to travel with Force India to compete in the F1 Championships this season.
In the beginning of the last F1 season, Sutil was found guilty of physically assaulting Lotus co-owner Eric Lux in April during a party in Shanghai. Sutil was banned in January 2012 for 18 months and also fined $250,000 for his actions. Following the incident, the German also lost his job as the driver for Force India.
The 30 year German has returned to the track following which he tested the teams car at the Circuit de Catalunya. After parting ways with the team, he hopes his return will once again secure him a spot in the team.
Force India are yet to make a decision on who would be the second driver, Sutil or Jules Bianch. The team is expected to make their decision in a week’s time, and Sutil is confident that the team will not hold his conviction against him when making their decision.
In a recent interview, a very confident Sutil said “It’s all good. I tried to get everything done already and last year I informed myself so it’s definitely not a problem. I think they’ve seen I’m able to drive the car still, so maybe we’ll have a decision and we’ll go from there.”
He concluded by saying “It’s all sorted so it’s really about their [Force India's] decision.”
