The Austrian Grand Prix is a Formula 1 race held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. It was first held as a non-championship race in 1963 at the Zeltweg Airfield, a temporary circuit on a military airbase. A year later, in 1964, it became an official Formula 1 championship round. However, the rough surface of the airfield track made it unsuitable for F1, leading to the race being discontinued.

In 1970, the event moved to the newly built Österreichring, which became a staple in the F1 calendar. After being removed in 1988, the race returned in 1997 on a shorter version of the circuit, renamed the A1-Ring after its sponsor, A1 Telekom Austria. The race was held until 2003 before being dropped again from 2004 to 2013. Red Bull later bought and renovated the track, bringing the Austrian Grand Prix back in 2014. The circuit is known for its high-speed straights, elevation changes, and beautiful mountain scenery. The race is popular among fans and often features exciting battles due to its simple layout with just 10 corners. Red Bull Racing has a strong connection to the event since the team is based in Austria. Drivers like Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen have all won at this track. In recent years, the Austrian Grand Prix has been a key race in the F1 season, attracting large crowds and delivering thrilling moments.
