Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen skipped the usual Thursday media interaction after falling ill in the run up to the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend. The team have released a statement saying, ” Thursday’s media call cancelled due to illness, he will be here on Friday”.
A lot of speculation has been doing the rounds regarding the future of the Finn, who is the hottest property in the paddock after consistent performances through the year. Kimi’s current options are Lotus and Ferrari after his manager Steve Robertson confirmed that talks with Red Bull ended sometime back.
Kimi is expected to return on Friday for the first practice session and will be looking for his fifth win at the Legendary Spa Francorchamps Circuit.
