Mark Webber of Red Bull racing has set early pace in Brazilian grand prix weekend with a lap-time of 1m 13.811s . The McLaren duo of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, set the second and third quickest laps ahead of world champion Sebastian Vettel.
Felipe Massa, racing in his home grand prix out-paced team-mate Fernando Alonso by 0.035s to clock fifth best time. Alonso suffered an engine failure.
Last year’s pole sitter Nico Hulkenberg set a lap of 1m 15.178s to take his Force India car in eighth place ahead of team-mate Paul di Resta. The two Mercedes cars were separated by two Force India cars. Schumacher set seventh best lap while Nico Rosberg enjoyed 10th best time.
There were three Brazilian drivers to run in FP1, they finished as follow – Felipe Massa: 5th, Rubens Barrichello: 13th, Bruno Senna: 14th.
