#3 2007 - Hamilton's first ever F1 win

Lewis Hamilton, Grand Prix Of Canada
No one forgets their first ever F1 win

June 10, 2007, is a date to remember if you are wanting to become a die-hard Lewis Hamilton fan.

It was the date Hamilton tasted a Formula 1 race victory for the first time by winning the Canadian Grand Prix.

It was only his sixth ever race in F1 since starting out at McLaren but his racing around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve that day made you forget how young and inexperienced he was.

Hamilton secured his first ever pole position the day before just ahead of his teammate and current world champion, at the time, Fernando Alonso.

The Briton held firmly out on the track on race day to become the first black driver to win an F1 race.

11 years on, Hamilton has only gone and picked up four world championships at McLaren and Mercedes. Not bad.

The race is also remembered for Kubica's huge accident in a BMW Sauber.
