#2 Nico Rosberg (Mercedes AMG Petronas, 2015/16 season, 7 wins)
Having lost the Driver’s championship to fellow teammate Lewis Hamilton at the US Grand Prix, the German driver won the last three races of the 2015 season at Mexico city, Interlagos (Brazil) and Abu Dhabi. Last season, Mercedes won 16 out of 19 races including 12 1-2 finishes.
Rosberg has carried his form of last season into the current one. He has won the opening four races in Melbourne, Bahrain, Shanghai, and Sochi. The streak ended abruptly in a dramatic fashion at Barcelona, Spain. The two Mercedes cars started the race in the front row but collided ending their race.
The Lone driver not to win the driver’s championship on the list, he would definitely take inspiration from history and try to win the prestigious title this year.
