Over the course of 1952-53 seasons, Alberto Ascari won seven consecutive F1 races. His winning streak started in the Belgium GP and continued till the opening race of the 1953 season.

In the 1952 season, eight F1 and F2 races were considered for the championship and Ascari won six of them. In fact, he won all the races in which he participated. He skipped the Swiss GP to participate in the qualifying round of Indianapolis 500.

In the 1953 season, Formula Two regulations were followed for the championship. As a result, different types of engines and chassis were used to fight it out for the title. Out of the many races held, a selected few were considered for the championship title.
