The 2011 Singapore Grand Prix will be the final street circuit race of the season. It will take place around the Marina Bay area of Singapore.
Tyres:Pirelli will bring PZero Yellow soft compound and PZero Red supersoft compounds. Pirelli used the same combination at Monaco, Canada and Hungary.
Track:The track, being a street circuit, is unusually wide creating some overtaking areas. Singapore GP track is the second slowest of the season, after Monaco. The track is demanding on the brakes and maximum downforce in order to offer the car good stability under braking. The 61 lap race is the longest Grand Prix of the year. The track around Marina bay has 23 corners, the second-highest number after Valencia with 25.
The track around turns 1 and 2 is the second fastest part of the track, with speed touching 290 kmph but needs hard braking at Turn 3. The track after turn 6 till the approach of turn 7 is the fastest part of the circuit with speed touching to 298 kmph. Turns 13,16 and 18 are the slowest of the track with slowest speed of 80 kmph.
