Hamilton has never won a Grand Prix starting from 14th

This was probably the best race in Lewis Hamilton's career. After a truly horrid Qualifying round, it was truly remarkable to see Hamilton come out on top and win the German Grand Prix.

Starting 14th on the grid, The 4-time World Champion overtook cars in quick succession and went up to 5th, behind Vettel, Bottas, Raikkonen, and Verstappen.

With Verstappen's pit-stop and Vettel's crash in the 51st lap, it was clear that the Englishman would get a podium finish at least. But, with Bottas and Raikkonen both entering the pits, and with the safety car deployed, Hamilton quickly took the lead in the race and didn't look like he would give that up too easily.

With just over 11 laps to go, Bottas and Hamilton were going head to head. The Finn was soon asked to back down and let Hamilton go ahead in the race. The final result came as quite a shock to everyone.
