Pascal Wehrlein looks to be the favourite for the Toro Rosso role. The young German racer was last seen racing for Sauber in the final Grand Prix of 2017 in Abu Dhabi.

But he has since been on the hunt for a return to the sport.
Wehrlein has been part of the Mercedes driver's programme, but looks to be joining the Red Bull group. It is believed that the 23-year-old turned down an offer from a Mercedes long-term drive in Formula E to pursue a second spell in F1.
