Webber was on pole position during the qualifying session at Nurburgring, Germany. At the start of the race, Webber and Rubens Barrichello were side by side coming to the first corner as he clashed wheels with the Brazilian.
Webber was punished with a drive-through penalty reducing his chances of winning. Despite the drive-through penalty, Webber managed to win the race. It was a special moment for Webber as it was his maiden victory in Formula One. It was his 130th race, and he had to wait for seven years to win his first Grand Prix.
Webber had a memorable Formula One career even though he never managed to win the Championship. Webber is currently a pundit on Channel 4 in the UK.
