Sebastian Vettel nearly completed a scintillating weekend performance by achieving his first pole position in 17 races and was leading the race with a majority of laps.

But then a slip up on one of the corners saw the German receive a five second penalty for unsafe release.
Many fans felt sorry for Vettel and believed the race stewards and the FIA were harsh on the German.
But Vettel was voted Driver of the Day if there are any plus points to take away from Canada.
Still after seven races into the 2019 championship, Ferrari have not won a race while Mercedes has clinched the maximum points available.
