F1: Hamilton shares images of new Mercedes car

For many of the big names in Formula One, there are plenty of perks waiting for them when they go off the track, especially in this case for Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, as he has sealed a new ride by picking up a new set of wheels.

Of course, the new car was going to be from Mercedes themselves, to join his never ending collection of cool and fancy cars.

While the F1 world is behind closed doors until the new season begins in March for the Australian Grand Prix, the quiet period has given Hamilton the opportunity to have some down time by flying over the pond to the United States of America.

It is still to be confirmed from the constructors champions of when their model for the 2019 championship will be revealed, but Hamilton can show you his new car.

It is a Mercedes GT R!

The price, according to GP Fans, is £145,730 if you want to own the same car as the five time world champion - you'd better start saving.

According to Mercedes, The design of this GT R is "designed by racing experts, developed for everyday exhilaration", which comes to show that it is good prep for the non race weekends.

The new F1 season will see Hamilton fight for a sixth world championship after beating Scuderia Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel at the end of last season.

The Briton signed an extension to his dream spell at the Silver Arrows last year, which will see him in the silver corner for at least another two more seasons.
