After the sudden demise of his tyre in the last two laps of the race, Lewis Hamilton would be dying to make a comeback at his favorite Monaco circuit. He has yet not been able to secure a victory this season and talks like he has never been a champion before.
His teammate Jenson Button has had a better season for Mclaren as he tops the driver’s standings for the moment closely followed by Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso. Lewis Hamilton is currently languishing at the sixth position just ahead of Ferrari driver Felipe Massa.
The Monaco circuit that boasts of great challenges for the drivers will prove to be advantageous for Hamilton and Alonso. A drive through the circuit in the practice session taught Hamilton that the driver matters (more) here and not the car. RedBull have had the fastest Car on the circuit this season and will look to cash on Mark Webber’s hot form. Mark Webber won the Spanish GP last weekend.
Michael Schumacher will be rubbing his hands at the prospect of a victory here. He has been unable to justify his comeback until now for the Mercedes team but a fourth place finish in the Spanish GP has helped him settle into his driver’s seat.
Sebastian Vettel who clocked just behind Fernando Alonso in the practice will try to go one better in the race this Sunday. However, it will be really difficult for any driver on the track to overpower Alonso. Lewis Hamilton who won here in 2008 might be the only one capable to do so.
Indian fans would be rooting for two driver’s on the track in Monaco. Adrian Sutil who has had a decent season for Force India upto now, and Indian Karun Chandok who will seek to justify his space in F1.
